June 2012 marked the centenary of the birth of John Enoch Powell, one of Britain's most colourful and controversial politicians. Although he never gained high office he was, throughout his career, one of the most popular politicians in the country. In 2003 Powell was voted the 55th greatest Briton ever.
This website presents the archived speeches of Enoch Powell free for all to read. We hope that this will help in a re-evaluation of his life and work. Here you will find all of Enoch's surviving speeches from the late 1950s to the 1990s. Powell was an eloquent orator of great intellect and his speeches are full of his philosophies, passion and wit. This site, along with the book, 'Enoch at 100: A re-evaluation of the life, politics and Philosophy of Enoch Powell.' hopes to help shed new light on one of the most interesting political presences of the 20th century.
